Our BrochureHistoryWe have been in the wholesale nursery business since 1980, with our initial emphasis on transplant stock for Christmas tree growers. Since then we have built four greenhouses capable of growing 800-900,000 trees per year, and have fourteen acres under irrigation for growing Hybrid Poplar cuttings, Hybrid Poplar rooted seedlings, bareroot conifer seedlings and transplants, and deciduous seedlings and transplants. We have gone into an intensive program of growing trees from genetically improved seed sources, acclimated seed sources and hybrid seeds to obtain pure strains of tree species featuring growth, color and size. We Specialize in Bare-Root TransplantsAdvantages of transplants are stockier trees, with better root to top ratio; shortens age for timber production; ideal for windbreaks and shelterbelts; withstands competition better than seedlings; better survival in difficult planting sites, and better results in underplanting and filling in misses on previous plantings. We have transplants from accelerated seedlings grown in the greenhouses. The accelerated seedlings have superior compact root systems that make them very plantable by hand planting or machine planting.
