Hardy Northern Container Grown Trees

Our container grown seedlings are grown and shipped in Styroblocks. Your seedlings have an established, undisturbed root system, resulting in less transplant shock after planting. Container evergreens are approximately equal in vigor and growth potential to 2-1 (3 year old) bareroot transplant stock. Unlike conventional bareroot seedlings, which should not be planted in the summer, your container trees can be planted through mid-September in most climates. Do not plan until after last frost in your area.

Styroblock

Because trees are containerized, they do not need immediate planting and can be held outdoors until planted. They are faster and easier to plant than bareroot stock, as you remove seedlings from the container as you plant. Complete planting/care instructions are enclosed with your order.

Sizes: Container-grown trees are 4" - 10" in height unless specified otherwise.
Containers: Evergreens are in 2-4 cu. in. growing cells.
